Large Vintage Indian Wooden Chapati Board With Carving

This vintage Indian wooden chapati board became part of the Casa Berbere collection during an expedition to India in 2018. Although commonplace in Indian households of decades past, this particular chapati board has been shaped by decades of use, now displaying a bulbous, sensual shape - ideal as an objet d'art in a kitchen, living room or bathroom. 

Sized with a diameter of 10" and a height of 2", this board is ideally sized for a multitude of uses; whether plate, display, candle base, or for the originally intended use of rolling out flatbread.
